Tip: I like hot cereal for breakfast, but it gets a little boring sometimes (my own fault, I’ll admit). I’m going to work harder at making hot breakfast more interesting and nutritious. I think my body will thank me. 🙂 If you’d like to join me in one new creation, give this oat bran a try…then do it again with your own favorite toppings!
1/3 cup oat bran cereal
1 cup water
1/4 cup kefir
1 handful fresh blueberries
2 Tbsp raw or lightly toasted walnuts
1 Tbsp high quality raspberry jam
Wash and dry blueberries.
Heat jam gently in microwave.
Combine oat bran with water in cereal bowl. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir together and let stand for about 1 minute.
Drizzle kefir over cooked cereal; sprinkle with blueberries and walnuts. Drizzle warm raspberry jam over all.
Observe how pretty your nutritious breakfast is, then stir it all together and eat it warm!
